Newtowne 6 - 2 Park

A first home game and another Jekyll and Hyde performance. Gary Moore scored after 9 seconds as the Newts started well yet again. He scored again soon after to make it 2-0. When Trevor McSparron made it 3-0 inside 20 minutes the game looked over.

There's where you are wrong. Newtowne again got sloppy. They let Park back into the game. At half time the score was 3-2 and an unassialable lead seemed increasingly vulnerable.

Park started brightly in the second half and looked good value for an equaliser. However a third penalty this year dashed the visitors hopes. Unlike the others Trevor Mcsparron scored and home nerves were settled. Moore scored his hat trick soon after to make it 5-2. Andy Ferris completed the rout before the end.

It was a rare performance. Park have improved a lot from last year but Newtowne seem to go hot and cold. In saying that 6 goals and four off the woodwork is a good showing.
