NORTH WEST CITY CUP
FINAL
BBOB 0 - 1 LINCOLN
COURTS
A good crowd gathered at Wilton Park
for the North West City Cup Final. Conditions were perfect
for an eagerly awaited derby between old rivals BBOB and Lincoln
Courts.
Both
sides settled well and created chances early on. Johnny Adams
was sent free by Dougherty in the second minute but he was
adjudged offside. Minutes later BBOB fashioned a good opening
but King’s cross was just too high for Gary Nutt.
Robbie Godfrey of Lincoln Courts was a threat
throughout the 90 minutes. He gave a signal of intent in the
12th minute when he outpaced the BBOB defence but his centre
found no one in the box. Minutes later Gary King saw his shot
go wide after an earlier strike rebounded off a Courts’
defender.
Patterson
from Lincoln Courts knocks in a corner. He looks like he has
had a bit too much too drink!
